Cooperative Concert Series: Every Thursday this summer from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Energy Park. Participants can bring blankets, chairs and picnics.

Cornhole Tournament: Wednesday 1 June, at 5.30 p.m., place de la Cour. Raise funds for Independence Day fireworks while enjoying music, food trucks, booze, raffles, kids’ activities and more. There is a team registration fee of $50. Entrants must be 18 or older to play. Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place. Register online at

Community Safety Day: Sunday, June 5, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Greenfield Middle School. Learn, play and be safe with activities for all ages.

Learn to play tennis: Sunday, June 5, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. or Wednesday, June 8, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Davis Street courts. Register in advance for these free one-hour programs that introduce participants to the basics of tennis.

Babysitter certificate: A two-day training course at 20 Sanderson Street, Monday, June 6 and Tuesday, June 7, 5:30-7 p.m. Designed for ages 11+ to learn basic caring skills. Prior registration is required. $50 for residents; $60 for non-residents.

Security alone at home: Wednesday, June 8 and Thursday, June 9, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., at 20 Sanderson Street. Greenfield Police Constable Laura Gordon will be offering two free home safety programs designed for children ages 9-11. Prior registration is required.

Learn to play pickleball: Monday, June 13, from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Green River Pickleball Court. Register a week in advance for this free course that will allow you to understand the game and learn the basics of striking with the paddle. Equipment will be made available. Ages 6 and up are welcome.

Create on Commons: Wednesday June 15, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on the Place de la Cour. A free and walk-in series to give free rein to your creativity.

Learn to play golf: Wednesday, June 22, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Rivière-Verte swimming and recreation area. Learn the basics of golf in this free program for kids ages 6-11. Register a week in advance. Equipment is provided, but you can bring your own.
