Scuba diving lessons for children: The Tribune India

Bishop Cotton School in Shimla has a long history of providing swimming lessons to schoolchildren. This year, 125 boys (from class III upwards) took a basic scuba diving course. Thanks to this, children learn to be attentive, to control their breathing and their nerves as well as to enjoy their environment. Commander Rajiv Sardana (Retired) and his wife Archana have been training Cottonians in Shimla for the past 10 years on scuba diving courses and then taking them to beautiful locations around the world.

SFI and ABVP welcome HPU’s decisions

Members of the Students Federation of India (SFI) have welcomed the decision taken by the HPU Executive Council on Wednesday. The main decisions are to make the PhD entrance test compulsory and to abolish the 50% continuation fee for hostels in 2020. The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has also welcomed the decisions made in the council.

Auckland House children bring laurels

Pranjal Chandel scored 98.8% in ICSE Class X exams and placed first at Auckland House School. Second place was secured by Garveeta Sharma with 98%, followed by Amreen Kaur (third place) with 97.8%. No less than 30 girls obtained marks above 90% in the exams.
