PGA Tour Course: Innisbrook Copperhead Course

Innisbrook Golf Resort: A PGA Tour staple for a reason

Almost anyone can play at one of the most respected golf courses on the PGA Tour schedule.

the Copperhead coursea Larry Packard gem that has been renovated in recent years, year after year, challenges the best in the game. And if you book a package at the Innisbrook Golf Resort near Tampa, Florida, you can also see how you situate on this course which is part of the Florida Swing on the PGA Tour.

Paul Azinger once called the Copperhead course the best on tour, and Curtis Strange talked about his character. The PGA Tour’s Valspar Championship – which will be played right after THE PLAYERS Championship this year – gives Tour players everything they can handle, especially down the stretch.

But don’t let its difficulty scare you away. These guys play that par-71 layout with water coming into play on nearly half the holes from the tips at around 7,340 yards – the rest of us can find the right set of tees (there’s has four other sets starting at around 4,800 yards) and enjoy this wonderful design which includes an expanse of holes towards the end called “Snake Pit”.

Plus, if you book a package at this beautiful resort located northwest of Tampa, Florida, and a few miles from the beaches north of Clearwater, there are three other great golf courses to play, as well as excellent restaurants, a spa and plenty of other things to do.
