Blaney and Smith lead the Crystal Springs League
Don Blaney shot a gross low of 34 in Division A of the Crystal Springs Golf Club and Community Bank Monday Morning Senior League, while Rick Lashley posted a net low of 31. The winning teams were 12, 11, 6, 7, 5, 1 and 13.
In Division B, Terry Smith got a low card of 35, Jabie Conrad posted a net low of 32 and the winning teams were 10, 2, 5, 8 and 12 while 4 and 7 were tied.
Seekatz and Frazee punctuate the Rice-Galloway League
Nate Seekatz shot 26 for a low of the first nine, and Troy Frazee posted a low of 27 of the last nine in Tuesday’s Rice-Galloway Optometry League in Green Valley.
The low net up front was 24 by Bryan Karling; Mike Haren’s 24 was a low net in the back, and the low net team was Domino’s with 110.

Davis highlights the MHPCC League
Debbie Davis and Kathi Galloway tied for low gross at 38, and Davis posted a low net of 24 in the MHPCC Ladies League on Tuesday in Green Valley.
The winning teams were 2, 5, 6, 9 and 10.
Splash & Dash will be held in Dresden
The Dresden Swim Center, located at 1330 S. Main St, will host its Splash & Dash event at 8:30 am on August 28.
Participants can participate in the splash and dash which includes swimming and running or can register only for the 5K run / walk.

Arch Memorial Outing in August
The fourth annual Arch Memorial golf outing will take place on August 21 in Jaycees. Registration will begin at 7 a.m. with a shotgun departure at 8 a.m.
The cost is $ 240 per foursome, $ 60 per player, and the deadline to register is August 14. Sponsorships of holes and drinks carts are available.

The football officials class will take place
The Muskingum Valley Football Association will sponsor a course for those who wish to become a high school football official.
Class will begin at 6 p.m. on August 2 at Zanesville Middle School. The cost is $ 85 and includes not only the materials needed for the class, but also the registration fee as a football official with the Ohio High School Athletic Association.
The course will cover the rules of the game in high school as well as the mechanics needed to be a successful football official. Taking this course will allow participants to start refereeing lower level football matches from this season.

The hunter’s education course will take place
A hunter education course is offered in August at Zanesville Christian Missionary Church, 545 Richey Road in Zanesville.
Classes will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on August 27 and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on August 28. The two-day course is free to the public, but people must register at www.wildOhio.com or call 1-800-wildlife.
Philo BB holding a golf outing
Philo Boys Basketball will be hosting a golf outing on August 14 at Jaycees Golf Course.
Registration will begin at 7:30 am with a shotgun start at 8:30 am The cost is $ 260 per team with skins included. Payments will be based on the number of teams participating in the outing.
