TARPON SPRINGS, FL – The schedule of events for the Epiphany celebration, January 5-8, and the schedule of events for Tarpon Springs – Chania, Crete, Greece, January 4-9, was released on January 3 . It should be noted that the AHEPA Epiphany Open House at AHEPA Apartments 489, which was scheduled for January 5, has been canceled due to the health and safety concerns of the elderly who live there. AHEPA Chapter 489 board chairman, Demetrios “Jimmy” Makris, shared the information via email. The following events are on the program:
Wednesday, January 5, 5:30 p.m. Cocktails: Epiphany Banquet at the Spanos / Pappas Community Hall in Tarpon Springs, $ 100 / person.
Thursday January 6, 7 a.m .: Breakfast of the Epiphany AHEPA at the Tarpon AHEPA house.
Epiphany Day, 8 a.m .: Orthros / Matins; 9:00 am: Divine Liturgy at Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Tarpon Springs
Around noon: Procession of the Epiphany towards the Bayou after the religious services Saint-Nicolas Cathedral of Tarpon Springs. No Glendi afterwards.
Friday January 7: Feast of St. John at the Greek Orthodox Church of St. John the Baptist in Tampa. Lunch to follow the liturgy.
Friday January 7 6:30 p.m .: Meet & Greet AHEPA at the Tarpon AHEPA house (Hors d’oeuvres)
Saturday, January 8, 8:30 a.m. Shotgun Start: Epiphany Golf Tournament at the Innisbrook Golf Resort. Solder. At 1 p.m .: Epiphany Post Golf Lunch to follow at the Tarpon AHEPA house.
Saturday, January 8, 6:30 p.m. Cocktails: Epiphany Ball at the Spanos / Pappas Community Hall in Tarpon Springs, $ 50 / person.

Tuesday January 4: The Chania delegation arrives in Tampa, Pancretan Association of America (PAA) President James Boutzoukas to host a private dinner for the delegation (by invitation only).
Wednesday, January 5, 9:00 a.m .: Sister Cities Committee, delegation and BOC breakfast at Rodie’s, 11:00 a.m. Pick up the cart at Town Hall for a tour of downtown and the Sponge Docks, 12:45 p.m. Visit to Sponge Exchange and refreshments, 1:00 p.m. Fleet-Sponge Docks Blessing, 6:00 p.m. AHEPA Banquet (tickets provided by PAA James Boutzoukas for the delegation).
Thursday January 6: Celebration of the Epiphany from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., 12:30 p.m. Lunch (after the cross-dive) Guests of honor of the church at the Spanos- Pappas community center, 6:00 p.m. The Emmanuel Foundation Velivasakis / Venizelos will host the delegation’s dinner (location to be determined))
Friday January 7 at 12:30 p.m. Lunch hosted by the Kokolakis family at Bon Appetit restaurant, 148 Marina Plaza in Dunedin, 5 p.m. Twinning ceremony at Town Hall and presentation of Venizelos
Saturday, January 8, 6:30 p.m. Epiphany Ball at St. Nicholas Community Center (tickets provided by the City for the delegation)
Sunday January 9 at 6 p.m., farewell Glendi hosted by the local KPHTH chapter (location to be determined).
