About Brahmāstra Part One: Shiva
Set in modern India, the narrative is woven around the existence of Astras of power who have been protected by a group called the Brahmānsh since Vedic antiquity. The most powerful of these Astras, named after the most powerful weapon of the Gods, is the Brahmāstra. A mysterious dark force attempts to awaken the Brahmāstra, threatening the universe we know today. The new film sees hero Shiva (Ranbir Kapoor) travel to this magical world of Astras where he learns of his mysterious connection to the Brahmānsh and Brahmāstra. Shiva discovers the truth both about his own destiny as a divine hero and about the great power within him, the power of Fire.
As the creator of this universe, writer-director Ayan Mukerji believes that “Brahmāstra Part One: Shiva” is just the beginning of a genre-defining story: “‘Brahmāstra’ is an original film, and I am very proud of what we have achieved here. I feel that India and audiences around the world will embrace the film.
